Dr. Sassaman is excited to return to Minnesota after spending much time studying, performing, and teaching music in the Southwest. After college she played oboe professionally with orchestras in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she also taught for an educational outreach program as well as at a community college. She recently spent 9 years teaching choir in a k-12 setting with the Great Hearts Academies in Phoenix, AZ and is looking forward to teaching choir and world music at the Math and Science Academy! Dr. Sassaman enjoys hiking and camping as well as spending time with her rescue dog, Ginger.
