Paul Simone - Director

As the director for the past eight years, I am involved in and responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the following areas as they pertain to the Math and Science Academy: financial management and budgeting, legal management, board of directors meetings, policy development, special education, communications, staff development, personnel management, fund raising, as well as physical plant management.

In addition to currently serving as the director of the Math and Science Academy, a 2009 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School, I am also one of the original founding teacher members of the Math and Science Academy. I was among the first three teachers hired during the spring planning year of 1999, and assisted in all aspects of program/school development after the initial charter approval. When the Math and Science Academy did opened its doors to students in the fall of 1999, my primary responsibility was to plan, develop, and deliver the social studies curriculum for all our students in grades six through twelve.
