Bruce Monroe

This is my initial year as Director of Academics for M.S.A.  This half-time position was created last Spring by the Board to coordinate the following responsibilities:            

1. ensure that curriculum within departments matches local and state standards
2. facilitate efforts to ensure that instructional strategies support student academic achievement
3. oversee staff development
4. observe and coach teachers on their on-going professional development
5. available to families and staff to discuss academic issues    

This year is my 40^th in public education.  I retired in 2004 after 33 years of teaching at Woodbury J. H.(11 years) and Woodbury H. S.,(22years).  During the past 7 years I have supervised student teachers for U.W./River Falls, U.W./LaCrosse. And Luther College.  I have also taught part-time and regularly subbed at M.S.A.

It is a privilege to serve this “Learning Community” in achieving their professional goals.  Please contact me regarding any of the aforementioned responsibilities.  My schedule will be regular school hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and four hours on Thursdays.
