5/21 - Academics Committee Meeting
In Fall 2010, the Board of Directors approved the implementation of a strategic plan to guide the school's long-term viability and to align it with the goals stated in MSA's mission statement. The purpose of the Academic Committee meeting is to classify the jobs/responsibilities of the committee, and possibly begin drafting goals for the 2012-2013 school year. Because there are still uncertainties with respect to job responsibilities next year, this will be a preliminary meeting to gauge the needs of the teachers/parents/students/administration. We will meet again at the beginning of next school year to finalize the committee's responsibilities and goals.
Agenda:
1) Review of what the current responsibilities of the Academic Committee
2) Are you interested in being on the committee? What role would you like to have (co-chair, member, consultant, etc)
3) What do you think should be the functions/responsibilities of the committee?
4) Where does this committee fall in the "flow chart" of responsibilities?
5) What are some future goals/planning that you think would be good for the committee to take on?
